Affordable Nutrition Coalition
Advocating for Affordable, Nutritious, and Culturally-relevant Food System Solutions to tackle malnutrition challenges at the global level.
Billions of dollars are invested each year in food systems interventions that often fail to take into account affordability, cultural relevance, and nutrient density. Solutions addressing these three key considerations exist, but they are often developed at country level, by organisations without access to the institutions setting investment priorities, while funding decision makers can only choose between the options that reach their desks when allocating funding.
The Affordable Nutrition Coalition (ANC) was created to bridge this gap: grounded in evidence, it connects funders with the organisations which have the solutions needed to create a food system centred on nutritious, affordable, and culturally relevant food, so that funding reaches the initiatives and projects most likely to benefit the people and communities who need it, both now and in the future.
